Eliron Ekstein is the co-founder and CEO of FarePilot.com, a London-based venture helping professional taxi and ride-sharing drivers predict customer demand in real time. The venture is backed by BCG Digital Ventures, a corporate venture capital firm by the Boston Consulting Group, and Shell Technology Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of Royal Dutch Shell. Previously to FarePilot, Eliron has been a founder of Shell’s Digital Businesses Group, building ventures across smart energy and transport services leveraging external partners (startups, investors and large multinational) as well as Shell’s assets and capabilities. He and his team have scouted, incubated and invested in fields such as vehicle maintenance, smart deliveries and home bill management. Prior to this Eliron has held a Project Lead role within Shell’s Group central consulting team, and worked externally for the Boston Consulting Group, ICL Group in corporate economics, energy and climate change roles. Eliron lives in London and has an MBA from London Business School as well as a BA in Economics and International Relations from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
